Cuyahoga Valley National
Park, OH

This National Park is sandwiched between Akron and Cleveland. But with the wild wilderness feel, you would never know you're just minutes away from the cities.

Brandywine Falls

IMG_9155.JPG

The iconic waterfall of Cuyahoga Valley. This 60-foot waterfall is easily accessible from either the Brandywine Falls Picnic Area or the Brandywine Gorge Trail. Hike through Brandywine Creek for some of the best views.

Brandywine Creek

The creek that flows downstream of the waterfall. It is full of beautiful scenery that make for a great hike. You can reach the creek on the Brandywine Gorge Trail or by following the Stanford Trail.

We recommend some waterproof shoes, Tevas, or any footwear you do not mind getting soaked. Heck, you could even go barefoot.

More waterfalls! The Blue Falls can be a hike to reach, but it makes for a great adventure. Hike a few miles along the Buckeye Trail to find this perfect spot to sit down, break out a quick snack, and relax.

Deer Lick Cave

If you're looking to get away from all the people exploring the park, go no further than Deer Lick Cave at the Brecksville Reservation. If you're along the Buckeye Trail or Bridle Trail, at some point you will connect with the Deer Lick Trail. Follow this for a scenic route away from the hustle and bustle.

The Bridle Trail and Buckeye Trail can make for great day hikes themselves. These trails provide plenty of different terrains, sites, and overlooks. Be sure to check out this side of the park when you visit!
